Precision Voltage References
This application note describes about the precision voltage references. The main topic of this application note is divided into 7 sections :
- Introduction
- The design origins
- Band-gap reference
- Zener reference
- XFET reference
- Explanation of the parameters
- Conclusion

The design of this application is presented in the design origins section. Band-gap reference, Zener reference, and XFET reference sections, each of them presents about Band-gap, zener, and XFET reference. Specified parameters for voltage references is described in section reference selection for a 14-bit converter. The Explanation of parameters section explains the parameter that is used in this application such as initial error, temperature coefficient (TC), Thermal hysteresis, Noise (1/f and broadband), Long-term drift, Turn-on settling time, Line regulation, Load regulation, PCB layout.
