Transcend SSD18C3, Portable SSD With 3.0 USB

Storage producer, the Transcend has announced their new SSD variant. The portable device has a high speed access with the support of 3.0 USB. The product named SSD18C3 is claimed to have data speed transfer up to 269 MB/s. When installed, the SSD will switch to turbo mode to enhance the data transfer with remarkable speed when connected using 3.0 USB port.

To obtain more endurance, the SSD is placed in a silicon framework that able to absorb vibration and also slip-free. A strong case and shock-resist technology makes the SSD18C3 perfect for users with high activity. Its size is just as big as poker deck, it is also light and easy to carry. The product has many state-of-the-art features, including the comfortable one-touch auto backup button. To be able to compete with famous web browsers like the Internet Explorer (IE) or the Mozilla Firefox, the Chinese Baidu is goig to build their own web browser. Baidu is the famous search engine from China, so the challenge can’t be underestimated.

Baidu have tested the beta version of the new web browser that the name is yet to be known. The browser will be integrated with the Baidu search application. It is said that users can, not only oing online search, but also launch an application in the browser. About the security, the Windows OS browser is quite secure from malware or evil sites. As for the market, it looks like the browser is dedicated for the China people alone, since the language s using Chinese language. Now Baidu holds 75,5% of the market share of online search engine in China, it beats Google quite significantly, but for the browser, Microsoft’s IE is still leading with 83%, this maybe caused by the unawareness of Chinese people with other better browsers. The IE domination can still be broken since many local browsers are being create, including the new Baidu browser.

Xperia X10 And Android Gingerbread

Several vendors have promises to updated their smartphones with the Android 2.3 or the Gingerbread. Now it is Sony Ericsson’s turn that said that their Xperia X10 will be using the Android Gingerbread.

The exact date of the release are not officially published yet, but they said that it will be around the end of the 2nd quarter of the beginning of the 3rd quarter 2011, mid-year. Previously, Sony Ericsson has no intention to use Android more than the 2.1 Android version, or the Eclair, but the demand of their customers make them dissolved. Even though the update is still a plan, Sony Ericsson have warn about the risk of the Gingerbread update in the X10. Like the facial recognition and camera shutter feature will be replaced by the standard Android camera interface. And when users have decided to update to gingerbread, the handset cannot use the Android 2.1 anymore. The X10 has been released since last year, the smartphone has 4” screen, and 1 GHz processor. But for other Sony Ericsson handsets, like the X10 Mini, Mini Pro and X8 can’t be updated with the Android Gingerbread.
