Opera officially released their latest desktop browser, Opera 11.50. The browser with the codename Swordfish is ready to challenge the others like Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome. The new Opera browser comes with a more fresh and the ease-of-use.

The Opera 11.50 is said to show up with the revamping of thousands of bugs, and the enhance of the core rendering machine to the latest. Opera also put in software graphic engine with CSS rendering and faster SVG. This makes the Swordfish to be the fastest and the most stable Opera browser. The speed difference reach up to 15-20% compared to the previous version. The existence of HTML5 support are also great, especially for the developers. Opera 11.50 add ‘Session History and Navigation’, W3C File API, and time element on the HTML5 support. One of the feature is the speed dial, where you will receive a view of the social media, inspirational quotes, the latest weather report, news, and matches scores, and much more.

After so long, Google finally launched their social networking, Google+. Unlike other social networking, the Google social network is more ‘picky’.The Google+ is designed around the social circle of user (+Circles). In addition, users can selectively share with certain group inside their social network. This means users don’t have to share with all of their social connections.

The giant search engine is focusing on the Google+ private customization with hope that users will choose their new service instead of the existing social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. In the real world there are walls and windows to find out who is in the other room, but in cyberspace, you have a ‘share’ box that enables you to share with the whole world. Giving greater control to what, how, and who you share, Google+ is trying to make online sharing experience more safe and private. +Circles offer interest, group video chat, mobile content sharing, and many other already familiar features for social network users. At this moment Google is trying to complete the trial stage, and only selected users can access the service completely.

Archos released the Android-based tablet PC with a processor that may be the most powerful for the moment. The French vendor included a dual core 1,5 GHz OMAP (ARM Cortex A9) processor. The Archos G9 line also have the Nvidia hard drive that claimed to have the largest capacity in the tablet area with 250 GB. As for the operating system, it uses the Android Honeycomb 3.1 version.

There are two options of the G9 tablet, the Archos 80 G9 with the 8” screen and Archos 101 G9 with the 10” screen. The features are like WiFi, GPS, USB port, and HD video record. But there are no word yet about the RAM this tablet have. The fun part is that both of the tablet will be sold with a reachable price. The Archos G9 80 is sold starting from US$ 279, and the Archos 101 G9 is sold starting from US$ 349. Both products is planned to be released on September 2011 in several countries.

And the answer is the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Android tablet. Asus Transformer has been shipped for 400 thousand units only in the first quarter of 2011, this is the highest number for non-iPad tablets. The Eee Pad Transformer is quite enthused with its capabilites that can morph into some kind of laptop when connected to a keyboard. The tablet was rare in the market because of the high demand. Asus even have the ambition to shipped 2 million units in 2011. The target seems to be accomplished considering Asus will add several other tablets on their portfolio, beside the Transformer. In fact, Asus is reported to have develop the Eee Pa Transformer 2 with many added features. The most striking is the presence of Nvidia Tegra 3 quad core with the Android Ice Cream Sandwich. The Transformer 2 will be launched around October or November 2011.
