Special for the demo, Google also brought some of the interesting applications that pretty amazed the media. The first application is a kind of face recognition but can be edited in real-time. This application can capture everyone’s face in front of the tablet’s front camera and then do some editing to the face caught by the camera, with this application, you can edit your face to have bigger nose, slanted eye, as well as smaller lips. The real-time means that you don’t have to take the picture and then do the editing, this can be done while you are looking to your face live. The editing is also more than adding mustache or beard like many other applications. In the demo, the application is still limited on detecting and editing the face area. The next application is Virtual Camera Man. Like a cameraman, it will follow the actor even when the actor have change places. But in order to be able to follow the “actor”, the Xoom must recognize the actor first. The identification process is not by recognizing the face but by sound. So whenever you have change places but still making a sound, then the gadget’s camera will still follow you around as the main focus. But of course the distance is limited in certain range. The application is made for video conferencing for corporate and domestic users. And this application is made specially for the Android Ice Cream Sandwich.
