Fuji Xerox have developed Print and Scan Utility for iOS. This can be used to print and scan with iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. Compatible product for the application is the DocuPrint CM205 f/fw. This application can be used for site pages, address lists, and photos stored in iOS based gadgets.
At the same time, Fuji Xerox also introduced their line of new products for home and small business. It is the Docuprint CM205 f/fw and DocuPrint M205 f/fw. The CM205 is a color series printer, available in two options: f, for the network ready and fw that can be connected via wireless network. While the M205 is a monochrome printer that also available in f n fw variant.
Western Digital (WD) releases new model of external hard drive with looks and features specially designed for Mac, Apple and Time Machine users. The product is called My Passport Studio. The looks is quite different from other kind of similar hard drive, almost all of the body is made from silver metal, and with special port placement for Mac users.
My Passport Studio not only have a USB port but also two firewire. The use of these two firewire ports are the reason that make this product unique. This enables one port to be plugged to other hard drive, while the other post remain attached to the computer. My Passport Studio is available in many different capacity, starting from 500 GB, 750 GB and 1 TB, each priced at US$110, US$126, and US$145. But this product will available later in the November of 2011.
Usually known for smartphones with premium prices, this time HTC tries to bring affordable Android smartphone. The HTC Explorer, that’s what it’s name, this phone is dedicated for novice users of Android.
The offered specifications are quite mediocre, like the 3,2 inch screen with 480×320 resolutions, 600 MHz processor, 3 MP camera, and 512 MB RAM. While for the OS, it’s using Android Gingerbread 2.3.5. HTC didn’t forget to immerse its flagship interface touted as one of the most interesting interface among Android vendors, the HTC Sense, and the HTC Explorer is using version 3.5. The HTC Explorer is planned to be available by the fourth quarter of 2011 in Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia. The price had not been revealed yet, but it will sure be cheaper than other new line of HTC smartphones. The HTC Explorer is an easy-to-use smartphone, it provides fast access to content and important information needed by the consumers.
Amazon has long preached will enliven the tablet PC market with the release of their own gadget. Now the rumors are about the tablet that will be launched soon.
The rumors spread after Amazon spread press conference invitations that will be held Wednesday in New York next week. The online retailer doesn’t disclose many details, but its believed that the event will be used to announce their tablet device. Previously, a person form technology blog, TechCrunch, MG Sieglar clainmed that he had tried the Amazon tablet prototype that have full color 7” screen dimensions and supported with 2 fingers multi-touch. Its also said that the tablet is using Android. Unfortunately, the tablet doesn’t have a camera and its user’s interface is not so different with the iOS Kindle application from Amazon. The Amazon tablet will have 6GB memory storage, and priced at around US$250. The presence of this tablet is predicted to slaughter other Android tablets. This is not because of the better hardware, but its more because of the unlimited Amazon content distribution network.
