Massive redesign were done by YouTube. The redesign is touted as the biggest reform ever done by this video sharing site. So, what are the changes?

What stands out is that the design is similar to the social networking site, Google+. No wonder since they have the same parent, Google. YouTube visitors can see the ‘activity feed’ in the center of the page, in the center of ‘channel’ on the left side and ‘recommendation’ on the right side. And the most important of this new redesign is the ‘channel’. YouTube is now positioned themselves as the competitor of cable TV. They have provided millions of new channels and professional contents to compete in this area and earned more money. Visitors can see the ‘add channel’ button in the top left corner of the page, which have 10 favorite channels under it. If you notice, YouTube also added soft gray color in the video background. And YouTube is now more similar to their ‘cousin’ Google+. In addition to have a similar design with Google+, they also integrated with it. For integration to Facebook and Twitter, YouTube do it optional. With the redesign and channel addition, YouTube is hoping to increase the time their visitors have on their site.
