Intel is preparing to introduce their Android smartphone and tablet PC. Those gadgets will be using their mobile processor that called Medfield. In the field of mobile gadgets, Intel have to admit that they are still loosing from ARM which have their chips used in most mobile gadgets today.

That is why Intel is developing the Medfield chip that are Intel Atom-based. Intel has also intensively tested their chips to compete ARM. They claim the Medfield is capable to make browsing access and graphic performance faster with lower power consumption. This smartphone from Intel is using Android 2.3 Gingerbread with the shape that are similar to iPhone. As for the tablet that they are developing is using Android Honeycomb OS. Given the high popularity of tablet PC, its not surprising that Intel want to compete, but they have to fight hard against ARM, the British chips company. The ARM-based processor is found in the majority if Apple and Android devices. These Intel Medfield based smartphone and tablet PC is planned to be introduced in the first quarter of 2012. These gadgets have the real purpose of attracting big vendors to use Intel chips.
