Amazon equipped the Kindle Fire tablet with Android OS that they have specially modified. But it seems that somebody out there that have manage to port the standard version of Android into this Amazon tablet. After able to be immersed with Android Gingerbread, it turns out that Android 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) can also run on Kindle Fire. Even though its not yet perfect, but this fact has proved that Kindle Fire is ready for ICS.
The trials ICS in Kindle Fire were done by several members of XDA developers. But the features aren’t complete yet and its not quite responsive to touches, not like in most ICS tablets. At least, its a first step for Kindle Fire developers to modified the OS in the tablet and replace it with the new version of Android. With the price tag of US$ 199, the Kindle Fire is predicted to continue to grow and demanded by users. Moreover with the open of Kindle Fire to be installed with a standard version of Android, both Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich, this will surely makes this Amazon tablet sold.
Samsung is playing harder on the dual SIM phone market. Not only in low end class, even one of their high end phone, Galaxy S II is also available in dual SIM version.
Galaxy S II Duos, that’s the name of the handset. For now, the gadget is only available in China. Maybe its because the huge market for dual SIM phone there. Physically, the Galaxy S II Duos is similar to the Galaxy S II that were bundled with T Mobile in the US. Galaxy S II does come in many versions, but they are quite similar in terms of specifications. The Galaxy S II Duos have the same exact specifications with the regular edition, it has 8 MP camera, Super Amoled Plus screen and dual core 1,2 GHz processor. Samsung is pretty consistent to produce dual SIM phiones, recently, this South Korean vendor have also introduced the Galaxy Y Duos and Galaxy Y Pro Duos.
Samsung has prepared a smartphone with the code of GT-N8010 which suspected as the successor of Samsung Galaxy Note. The presence of this gadget is reflected from the certification of WiFi Alliance on December 21st 2011. The code, GT-N8010 is a strong lead that the device meant is the next Galaxy Note, because the first Galaxy Note has the code of GT-N7000.
The Galaxy Note is a device with the screen size of 5,3 inches High Definition (1.280×800). On the other hand, it was a smartphone, or can also be classified as a tablet PC. There still not much can be revealed from the leak, some leaks said it has a dual band 2.4 GHz and 5.x Ghz for WiFi. The WiFi spec is 802.11 a/b/g and n. Allegedly, Samsung will immerse Android 4.0 OS aka Ice Cream Sandwich for this gadget. This step is inline with the original Galaxy Note version that will have Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS in the first quarter of 2012.
