In the middle of growing tablet PC market, Acer is introducing their latest tablet PC, Iconia A101. The product with a 7 inches screen have a quite stylish design and it comes with a 3G connection. The Acer Iconia A101 is a unity between the latest technology and a stylish approach. In addition to its relatively small size for a tablet, this product comes with a dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2.
The surface of the gadget is smooth, making it attractive, there are two options of color, Cherry Red and Trendy Blue. There are a HDMI port that can be used to watch a HD video up to 1.080 pixels. This port can also be used as a connections to TV screen and other wide screens. This Acer Iconia A101 is using Android 2.3 or Honeycomb OS that compatible with 10.3 Flash, this will ease the users to read ebooks, browse the internet or watching videos on YouTube. Other interesting features are like 5 MP camera as the main camera with auto-focus, and also the added 2 MP camera. The processor capacity is dual core 1 GHz with the overall weight of 415 grams. This gadget also have application like Acer Day Planner to plan the users daily activity. This application us designed for managing activity like agenda, emails, weather report and the latest news in one view. This application can be synchronized with Google calendar, Facebook, and Microsoft Exchange. It has the dimensions of 195 mm x 117 mm x 13.1 mm and LCD screen display with 600 x 1024 pixels resolutions. The Iconia A101 is quite heavy for a tablet PC, 415 grams. This is because the top and bottom of the body is using metal material.
Samsung freshened the looks of one of their flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note. The gadget that are called the combination between a smartphone and a tablet PC is now available in white color.
Previously, Galaxy Note only appears in black version. Now, the white version is only available in their home land South Korea. There have been no information on when it will go global. In addition to the changing color to white, this new version of Galaxy Note has the same specification with the black one. It has dual core 1,4 GHz processor, 8 MP camera, and Android Gingerbread OS. The 5,3 inches screen is covered with Super Amoled HD technology with 1280×800 resolutions. There is also an S Pen, a kinda stylus to operate several functions in this smartphone. With 5,3 inches screen, the Galaxy Note is the biggest smartphone from Samsung.
The gadget is claimed to be the world’s smallest MP3 player. It is created by Singapore company, Bluetree Electronics. It is called the Kube2, this is the latest version of the first Kube released earlier last year. The difference between them is in the materials.
Unlike the first generation that were made from plastics, the Kube2 body is made form aluminum. The gadget is equipped with touch sensor beneath them to help between song navigation. To change song, users can just sweep, also to pause or activate shuffle mode. Interestingly, this cube-shaped device comes with a sticker that can be changed to adjust the desired appearance. Kube2 has battery life of 6 hours and can be recharged using USB connection for 1 hour. Kube2 also have supported microSD between 512 MB up to 32 GB. But too bad the gadget with the price tag of US$35 with 4 GB microSD (1000 songs) will still only be available in 7-Eleven Singapore. But it will be marketed for larger markets in the 2012 CES event.
